at Makan, Darat Al-Funun and Al-Balad theatre

Organised for the second time by Makan in Amman, Meeting Points is an art festival created by the Young Arab Theater Fund in Brussels. In cooperation with local persons or institutions, this edition of the festival toured seven cities in the region, Beirut, Damascus, Cairo, Alexandria, Minia, Tunisia and Amman and featured eighteen theatre, contemporary dance, music and visual artists from Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Tunisia.  This festival provides meeting points for artists, art spaces, art operators as well as the audiences.  As well as producing works of art, the event aims at promoting mobility of artists within the region and creating a network among independent spaces that have recently emerged.
