In her artist talk, Doa Aly will present her video, painting and drawing works from 2003 to 2008, detailing the thinking process and inspiration behind each work.

Biography

Doa Aly was born in Cairo in 1976 and graduated with a BA in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo in 2001. Her academic training led her to develop an interest in body-image and movement. Her work examines the shift between the self and projected image, the constant struggle to ‘become’ which finds expression in movement.
