Makan established an Arab artist residency and exchange program, funded by the Arab Fund for Art and Culture, in cooperation with art spaces in other Arab cities. This program encourages artists from Jordan to apply for residencies in other Arab cities and invites artists from these cities to come and benefit from a residency in Amman. This allows artists, who usually go to the West for such opportunities for many reasons such as funding and mobility, to get familiar with regional art scenes, interact and establish contact with artists and art spaces.
