November 4, 2007 at several locations in Amman

The fifth edition of Meeting Points Festival presented 100 theatre and contemporary dance performances, 50 visual art installations and 48 nights of films and movies. Over seven weeks starting the 1st of November 2007, these events took place, and some toured several cities, in Amman, Damascus, Beirut, Cairo, Ramallah, Alexandria, Minia, Tunis, Rabat as well as Berlin and Brussels.

“Each one of us experiences the presence, or the lack thereof, of a certain place differently. That is to say: being both visible and invisible is not a paradox; it’s a personal condition, very personal.”  This exhibition brought together the works of four Palestinian visual artists, supported by the Danish Dialogue Centre.

February 2, 2007 at Hussein Cultural Centre in Amman and in the city of Aqaba

Makan organized, in cooperation with OrangeRed, a two week Hip Hop workshop conducted by instructors Samir Bakhat and Sam Revell from Belgium and supported by the European Union. This workshop invited 15 young participants between the ages of 15 and 21 to train daily; they came together for their love of dance.
